9-1-1 Rural Addressing

The 9-1-1 Rural Address is issued along with the Access/Driveway Permit. To apply for a 9-1-1 Rural Address contact Developlment Management at 830-331-8253 or click here to download form. When all documents are received along with the fee, an appointment will be scheduled to meet with the Compliance Inspector to take measurements of the driveway location. Property owner or agent may call within 1 week for confirmation of physical address & construction specification for access. The 9-1-1 Rural Address and Access/Driveway Permit must be otained before applying for Development, Septic and/or Well Permits.

In an emergency, seconds can sometimes make a life-saving difference. Make sure your 9-1-1 address numbers are posted on your house or business and are easy to see from the road. A well marked location is much easier for firefighters, medical personnel and law enforcement officers to find you when you need help.

9-1-1 blue reflective address signs are available for you to purchase. The fee for the signs are $15.00 for a single sided sign & $20.00 for a double sided sign. Just click here for the form and send in with the fee. Someone from our office will contact you when the sign is ready to be picked up. If you would like your 9-1-1 address sign mailed to you just add $3.00 to the fee for postage.
