Overview

Purpose Statement: The purpose is to advise the Parks Department on matters about (a) the Comprehensive Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan, (b) the acquisition of park and recreation areas and facilities, (c) the development of park and recreation areas and facilities, and (d) any other items determined by the Parks Director.

Vision Statement

We envision the role of the Kendall County Parks Advisory Board as lending expertise and guidance to parks management and county officials on matters of land and recreational assets stewardship. We also envision serving as a channel between county citizens and parks management, bringing timely and appropriate citizen input to parks initiatives.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to liaise with parks, recreation, and conservation groups, providing briefings and soliciting support for Kendall County Parks Department initiatives as needed. We also aim to provide county residents with open channels to submit input to various county officials on department initiatives.
