About Kendall County Elections

One of the most important functions of the county government is to oversee the electoral process.  The Elections Department has the responsibility of conducting all federal, state, county elections, as well as any local political subdivisions that contract with Kendall County.  Our office also handles all the voter registration activities.  The Office of Elections Administrator was created by the Kendall County Commissioners Court in 2008.  Currently, there are over 33,000 registered voters.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Kendall County Elections Department to ensure the integrity of every vote cast in Kendall County by administering election law and procedures equally and fairly to all, by providing the most efficient, accurate and secure election process possible, and, in all our endeavors, exceeding the expectations of the voters, taxpayers and citizens of Kendall County in accountability and competence.

New Voting Equipment!
08/21/2020
The Kendall County Elections Office is pleased to announce the implementation of a new voting system for the November Election.  The new paper-based ExpressVote Universal Voting System uses a touch-screen technology that produces a paper record for tabulation.  As a ballot marker, the ExpressVote handles the entire marking process and allows the voter to see the printed document for verification prior to inserting their ballot into the ballot tabulator for counting.  More information to come soon!

Countywide Polling Place Program Acceptance
01/30/2020
Kendall County has been approved and authorized by the State of Texas to continue to hold elections using the Countywide Polling Place Program (Vote Centers). This allows Kendall County registered voters to vote at ANY Vote Center that is convenient for the voter. Voters can vote near where they work, live, or go to school within the county. You will no longer have to vote at your specific precinct location on Election Day. This will NOT eliminate your voter registration precinct number, that data is still very important to define the area and districts you live within.
