Transparency Stars recognizes local government entities that provide easy online access to important financial data.
The Texas Comptroller’s office launched the Transparency Stars program in March 2016 to recognize cities, counties
and school districts making important strides to greater government transparency. Local government entities can apply for stars in the areas of:

° Contracts and Procurement
° Economic Development
° Public Pensions
° Debt Obligations

Expenditures and revenues used to calculate the per capita values were derived from all governmental funds of the County. The per capita calculations are based on U.S. Census Bureau population census as of April 1, 2020. Kendall County's census population is 44,279.
