Kendall County is accepting job applications for the following positions:

 

CDA Investigator: Under general supervision of the Criminal District Attorney, the purpose of the position is to perform all necessary investigations and support associated with preparation of cases for criminal prosecution and trail. Assist prosecutors during misdemeanor and felony criminal case investigation, intake, or trial. Handle all aspects of evidence. Serve subpoenas as needed. Work with local law enforcement. Road Maintenance Worker I:The purpose of the position is to perform a variety of general road maintenance duties. We have two positions to fill, one is with the Brush Crew and the other with the Road Crew. Paramedic: Under limited supervision, the purpose of the position is to perform acute medical services in emergency and non-emergency situations using Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support techniques and transports patients by ambulance to an emergency medical facility. Detention Officer: Under constant supervision, the purpose of the position is to provide care and custody of inmates in the detention facility; receive and process inmates and ensure safety and security of facility; and prepare documents and reports in conjunction with these tasks. To download the job description click here.

Deputy Sheriff: Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to enforce laws and ordinances in order to maintain peace and public safety within Kendall County. Position is responsible for patrolling the county; resolving issues arising from conflict or concerns of the public; assisting in investigations; providing security for the courthouse and performing bailiff duties.  Position is also responsible for public relations within the community. To download the job description click here.

Position Title: Criminal Investigator


Position Type: Criminal Investigation Division

Job Description: Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to conduct thorough investigations on misdemeanor and felony crimes, collect and preserve evidence, interrogate offenders, question witnesses and victims, prepare case files for testimony in Grand Jury and trials, establish and maintain liaison with local, county, state, federal and public officials, and abide by all lawful policies and procedures, orders, and instructions issued by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. To download the job description click here.     


Salary Information:

$57,685 – $60,730 (depending on experience)

Job Requirements:

Age 21

High School diploma or equivalent required supplemented by two (2) to three (3) years previous experience or training that includes law enforcement, knowledge of criminal laws and codes, and investigations; some college preferred
Experience Preferred
Applicants must possess a current T.C.O.L.E. license as a Peace Officer
Knowledge of the English language, spelling and grammar. General knowledge of Microsoft Word and Power Point are encouraged.
Bilingual preferred

Rotating Justice Court Clerk: the purpose of the position is to manage the clerical and financial operations of the Kendall County Justice Court. Employees in this classification perform routine and non-routine clerical work. Position is responsible for completing, processing and maintaining various court documents with a high level of confidentiality and processes financial records for the court including collection of fees.
