Kendall County is accepting job applications for the following positions:

 

Internal Auditor - the position is to audit various departments in the County; establish and implement accounting practices and internal controls to safeguard the County’s assets; maintain financial integrity; and ensure all expenditures comply with the County budget, state statues and applicable laws. To download the job description click here.

Fleet Mechanic I - the position is to ensure proper maintenance and repair of County vehicles and equipment for efficient and safe use.  Employees in this classification are responsible for mechanical work on vehicles and equipment. To download the job description click here.

Engineer - the position is to direct activities, operations, and programs related to the Kendall County Engineer’s Office.  Employees in this classification are responsible for planning, operations, construction, maintenance, safety, environmental compliance, floodplain management, on-site sewage facilitation, and developing local government codes. To download the job description click here.

Project Manager- the position is to direct activities, operations, and programs related to the County Engineer’s Office. Parks Maintenance Technician I - position is to perform a variety of structural and ground maintenance/repair work for Kendall County parks and facilities.  To download the job description click here.

General Counsel - Appointed by the Commissioners Court, and under general supervision of the County Judge and Commissioners, the purpose of the position is to serve as legal counsel to the Commissioners Court. Persons in this classification are responsible for providing legal advice and opinions to the Commissioners Court and other duties as assigned by the Court. Paramedic: the purpose of the position is to perform acute medical services in emergency and non-emergency situations using Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support techniques and transports patients by ambulance to an emergency medical facility. To download the job application click here.

Detention Officer: Under constant supervision, the purpose of the position is to provide care and custody of inmates in the detention facility; receive and process inmates and ensure safety and security of facility; and prepare documents and reports in conjunction with these tasks. To download the job description click here.

Deputy Sheriff: Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to enforce laws and ordinances in order to maintain peace and public safety within Kendall County. Position is responsible for patrolling the county; resolving issues arising from conflict or concerns of the public; assisting in investigations; providing security for the courthouse and performing bailiff duties.  Position is also responsible for public relations within the community. To download the job description click here.

Rotating Justice Court Clerk: the purpose of the position is to manage the clerical and financial operations of the Kendall County Justice Court. Employees in this classification perform routine and non-routine clerical work. Position is responsible for completing, processing and maintaining various court documents with a high level of confidentiality and processes financial records for the court including collection of fees.
