Facilities Manager - a working management position responsible for all activities associated with the operation, maintenance, and repair of all county buildings, facilities, and properties. This position is responsible for coordinating and supervising all repair contractors and acquiring, maintaining, and keeping inventory of all supplies, parts, and replacement equipment required for the department’s operation. County Engineer - position is to provide technical and engineering support to the Commissioners Court and County departments. Duties include providing engineering services for County construction projects; overseeing regulation of subdivision platting, including review and processing of plats; ensuring compliance with County Development Rules and Regulations, construction standards and related County orders, including orders concerning on-site sewage disposal systems and other waste handling and disposal systems; ensure compliance with federal law and regulations concerning flood way and flood plain management; and supervision of personnel responsible for 911/rural addressing, GIS mapping, and driveway/access permits. Kennel Technician - position is to provide general care and maintenance of shelter animals. This encompasses providing necessary services for humane feeding, watering, and caring for animals on the campus, as well as performing related work in maintaining and operating the kennels in a sanitary and efficient manner, an Animal Care Technician may have direct interaction with potential adopters, and must always present him/herself in a professional manner and consistent with the guiding principles and values of the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. GIS Specialist - position is to perform journey-level geographic information system work. Work involves input and manipulation of geographic information to create, maintain, display, update, and produce accurate maps and other representation of data. May train others. Deputy Tax Assessor Collector I - position is to process transactions and collect money in regards to taxes, licensing fees, and vehicle registration fees. Position is responsible for providing customer service to public paying tax and registration fees in compliance with rules and regulations. To download the job application click here.
Firefighter - position is to assist the County Volunteer Fire Departments, Fire Marshal, County Emergency Management Coordinator, and others with various tasks. Employees in this classification are responsible in assisting the control and extinguishment of fires and providing definitive care at the scene of an accident or illness as a first responder. Paramedic - the purpose of the position is to perform acute medical services in emergency and non-emergency situations using Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support techniques and transports patients by ambulance to an emergency medical facility. To download the job application click here.
Detention Officer - Under constant supervision, the purpose of the position is to provide care and custody of inmates in the detention facility; receive and process inmates and ensure safety and security of facility; and prepare documents and reports in conjunction with these tasks. Deputy Sheriff - Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to enforce laws and ordinances in order to maintain peace and public safety within Kendall County. Position is responsible for patrolling the county; resolving issues arising from conflict or concerns of the public; assisting in investigations; providing security for the courthouse and performing bailiff duties. Rotating Justice Court Clerk: the purpose of the position is to manage the clerical and financial operations of the Kendall County Justice Court. Employees in this classification perform routine and non-routine clerical work. Position is responsible for completing, processing and maintaining various court documents with a high level of confidentiality and processes financial records for the court including collection of fees.
