Kendall County is accepting job applications for the following positions: 


Chief Public Defender – Hill Country Regional Public Defender’s Office: The Hill Country Regional Public Defender’s Office (HCRPDO) is a Department of Kerr County and is comprised of Bandera, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, and Medina Counties. To download the job description and documents click here and here.

Paramedic: Under limited supervision, the purpose of the position is to perform acute medical services in emergency and non-emergency situations using Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support techniques and transports patients by ambulance to an emergency medical facility. To download the job description and application click here and here.

Deputy Sheriff:Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to enforce laws and ordinances in order to maintain peace and public safety within Kendall County. Position is responsible for patrolling the county; resolving issues arising from conflict or concerns of the public; assisting in investigations; providing security for the courthouse and performing bailiff duties.  Position is also responsible for public relations within the community. To download the job description click here.     

Detention Officer:Under constant supervision, the purpose of the position is to provide care and custody of inmates in the detention facility; receive and process inmates and ensure safety and security of facility; and prepare documents and reports in conjunction with these tasks. To download the job description click here.
