Fleet Mechanic II - the purpose of the position is to ensure proper maintenance and repair of County vehicles and equipment for efficient and safe use. Employees in this classification are responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance and lubrication of County equipment and vehicles. For the full job description click here.
Fleet Mechanic III - the purpose of the position is to ensure proper maintenance and repair of County vehicles and equipment for efficient and safe use. Employees in this classification perform mechanical work on vehicles and heavy equipment associated with road maintenance. This position will also include limited supervisory duties. Firefighter - position is to assist the County Volunteer Fire Departments, Fire Marshal, County Emergency Management Coordinator, and others with various tasks. Employees in this classification are responsible in assisting the control and extinguishment of fires and providing definitive care at the scene of an accident or illness as a first responder. Paramedic - the purpose of the position is to perform acute medical services in emergency and non-emergency situations using Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support techniques and transports patients by ambulance to an emergency medical facility. To download the job application click here.
Assistant County Engineer - Under supervision of the County Engineer, the purpose of the position is to provide technical and engineering support to the Commissioners Court and County Departments. Employees in this classification are responsible for preparing or obtaining necessary plans, drawings and specifications for construction or repair of County roads, drainage facilities and other county projects; reviewing construction plans for subdivision infrastructure; inspecting on-going and completed projects; and preparing or confirming budget and construction cost estimates. Detention Officer - Under constant supervision, the purpose of the position is to provide care and custody of inmates in the detention facility; receive and process inmates and ensure safety and security of facility; and prepare documents and reports in conjunction with these tasks. Deputy Sheriff - Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to enforce laws and ordinances in order to maintain peace and public safety within Kendall County. Position is responsible for patrolling the county; resolving issues arising from conflict or concerns of the public; assisting in investigations; providing security for the courthouse and performing bailiff duties.
